A new study is continuing to dash any hope that fish oil supplements provide protection against heart rhythm malfunction. The clinical trial has found that omega-3 fatty acids are unlikely to prevent recurrent atrial fibrillation. The condition, is linked to potentially life-threatening strokes and heart failure. However, such supplements don't appear to be dangerous either. The study is published in the "Journal of the American College of Cardiology."
