British researchers say the experimental drug Ebselen could help people who suffer from bipolar disorder. It also has less side effects than Lithium, the most common treatment. The researchers have tested the drug on mice which were made manic and became calm again with Ebselen. A small study in healthy human volunteers is beginning. The research is published in the journal "Nature Communications."
