A new analysis suggests that high doses of the B vitamin folic acid is not linked to an increased cancer risk. The analysis involved a group of international researchers who took data from 13 separate trials that randomly assigned participants to daily folic acid or a vitamin-free palcebo. A record was kept as to who went on to develop cancer. However, nutritionist Joshua Miller of Rutgers University in New Jersey says there are still enough questions about the long-term effects that people should still exercise some caution about loading up on the vitamin. The analysis was published in "The Lancet."
