The Mayo Clinic has agreed to test an Israeli company's stem-cell treatment for ALS. The Israeli company BrainStorm says initial studies show ALS patients have a good outcome on their stem-cell treatment. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
