A new drug to help reduce memory loss in Alzheimer's patients is showing promise. Researchers in Finland are testing the drug on 100 patients in a three month study. Memory scores among the 50 people who were given a placebo dropped by 33 percent, while patients who took the drug showed a 4% improvement. The results of the study are going to be presented at a meeting of the American Academy of Neurology in San Diego. Health experts are warning that one out of every three seniors in the U.S. will die with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.
