Doctor Group Supports Ban on Energy Drink Ads for Kids


The American Medical Association says it wants to see a ban on marketing energy drinks toward children. The group says marketing of drinks such as red Bull and Monster should be geared away from anyone under the age of 18, saying such high - caffeine beverages can cause heart problems and other health issues. The US reports of the five deaths around the nation that may be linked to Monster energy drinks. AMA officials say such drinks have surged in popularity in recent years among high school and college students.
