The most detailed atlas of the human brain ever developed is now available online, for free. Researchers can log onto "Big Brain" from anywhere in the world, bringing them a step closer to reverse engineering the complicated circuitry of the brain. Specialist say this can help them to develop more effective treatments of diseases such as Parkinson and strokes. Big brain provides a brain scan 50 times more detailed than a typical scan. Developers of Big Brain published their work Thursday in the journal of science.
