Blood Pressure Screening For Kids


New guidelines show different recommendations about getting a child's blood pressure checked. The US Preventive Services Task Force says there is not enough evidence to recommend routine screenings if they don't show symptoms of hypertension. the task force recommendation goes against recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association. The say regular blood pressure screenings should start at the age of three. The task force guidelines can be found in the journal "Pediatrics."
