Nuts May Lower Death Risk


New research provides the strongest evidence yet that eating nuts can lower your risk of dying from cancer, heart disease and a number of other causes. The study published Wednesday involved more than 118 thousand healthy volunteers. Researchers at Harvard University found that people who ate a one once daily serving of walnuts , cashews, almonds or other tree nuts were 20-percent less likely to die from any cause during the 30 year study. The study is in the New England Journal of Medicine.
