UA Researchers Study New Spray On Skin Product

Researchers from the University of Arizona are studying whether a new product that uses live skin cells can be effective in treating certain wounds. Texas based HealthPoint Biotherapeutics has created a spray on skin product that it claims can promote healing by working with the body's existing skin cells. A special focus of the study is whether the spray on skin could help treat chronic leg ulcers, a hard to treat condition among the elderly. The Daily Wildcat says researchers at the Southern Arizona limb Salvage Alliance are part of a nationwide effort to test the product.
