Stanford Helps Esophageal Cancer Survivors

Specialists at Stanford Hospital are helping people who are battling esophageal cancer with a new surgical technique. Micro surgeons say they have figured our a way to carefully remove part of a small intestine and use it to create a new esophagus. This enables esophageal cancer survivors to swallow again, resume a regular diet and return to normal life.
