Study Suggests Possible DDT Alzheimer's Link


A new study indicates there may be a link between a persons exposure to the pesticide DDT and theior chances of developing Alzheimer's disease. Researchers in the UK found Alzheimer patients had four times as much DDT lingering in theor bodies as people wothout the disease. The pesticides has been banned in the IS and elsewhere for several decades due to health and enviornmental concerns. However , DDT is still recommended by the World Health Organization for use in controlling malaria. It also can show up in some foods imported to the US.
