Genetic Risk of Autism Fairly Common


The risk of developing autism may be more common than previously believed. It's believed the disorder is caused by a number of factors, including genes and environment. Researchers with Carnegie Mellon University found rare genes or spontaneous mutatuions in only ten percent of autism cases. The scientists are working on a better way of predicting autism risk.
